Resources for building community in neighborhoods

The purpose of this questionnaire is to help you share your knowledge with people who want to make a difference in their neighborhoods. We're looking in particular for things that will inspire and aid people to take action, like tips, how-to's, toolkits, checklists, idea lists, handbooks, examples, videos. Submissions will be posted on ourblocks.net.

You may submit more than once. For example, one submission might be focused on placemaking, another on partying, etc.

Our Blocks - Building Blocks for Building Communities - is an all-volunteer project, and is powered by people like you. Thank you.

If someone came up to you and said: "I'd like to throw a block party (or launch a local website, or build a community garden, or start a social enterprise, or improve safety, or whatever) what are the best 3 to 5 resources (how to's, examples etc) I should check out to help me do that?" What would you say?
