2016-17 Mentor Application
We make a strong effort to match mentors and mentees based on your answers to the following questions. As such, please be thorough in your answers. Note that all mentor-mentee relationships are same-gender. We accept applications on a rolling basis and spaces do fill up quickly.

We will notify you in early September with regard to whether you have been matched with a student. Please contact us at dpolonsky@legaloutreach.org with any questions.

If you are a law student in the New York City area and wish to work with our students, lease sign up to be a debate coach: https://legaloutreach.org/?page_id=617

*Required; application will not submit unless starred sections have been completed.

About Mentoring
Your mentee will usually arrange to meet you at your office or a place that is convenient to you, such as a coffee shop. However, juniors and seniors usually debate in the borough in which the student lives.

• Brooklyn students debate at Brooklyn Law School in Brooklyn Heights, just by the 2/3/4/5 train at Borough Hall.
• Manhattan students debate at Columbia Law School at 116th and Amsterdam Ave. (1 train)
• Queens students debate at either Brooklyn Law School or Columbia Law School.

All Sophomores, regardless of the borough in which they live, debate at NYU Law School, located at 40 Washington Square South, between Macdougal and Sullivan Streets.
