Interested in serving as a Judge for the 2026 Metro Richmond Science and Engineering Fair?
Welcome to the 2026 Metro Richmond Science and Engineering Fair! We are excited that you are considering contributing your time to this year's Fair.

This year's Fair will be on Saturday, March 21, 2026 in VCU's new STEM Building! 

As a Fair Judge, you will serve with fellow judging partners to judge in specific categories, either for middle school or high school projects, that aligns with your education, background, comfort and expertise level. Fair Judges will interview student researchers and ask questions about their project (we will provide the rubric). There are 17 categories and at least 2 judges are needed for each project. If you have a degree or work experience related to one of these 17 categories, this is an opportunity for you!

**PLEASE NOTE: In order to avoid conflicts of interest, anyone who work(ed) closely with student competitors, (parents, teachers/ school staff, mentors, etc.), are asked to not volunteer for a judge role at all. In addition, judges are asked to recuse themselves from any student project that they feel they cannot fairly assess.**

Your time commitment is required on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from approximately 8:00am- 4:00pm.
