Founded by Gerardo Chavez and Luis Perez, the Trans USA National Pageantry System strives to celebrate and promote the development of transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming leaders as visible advocates and role models. At both the state and national levels, our representatives have consistently gone above and beyond as exemplars of trans excellence in the realms of advocacy, community organizing, public speaking, and mentorship--just to name a few!
Taking this first step on your national journey may seem intimidating. However, we want to assure you of one very important thing: Whether you are an experienced community advocate, a non-profit leader, or a newcomer to this world, you will find a home--and a true family--with Trans USA. Our leadership team, staff, and former representatives will be here to guide you every step of the way. We're all in this together, and we mean it!
Before beginning your application, please take some time to review the contestant handbook for your division of interest below, which contains key information related to registration requirements, categories of competition, and expectations as a state representative.
If you still have questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to any of our current national representatives, Contestant Experience Director Damien Serrato (damien@transusanationalpageantry.com), or our administrative team (admin@transusanationalpageantry.com).

Important Eligibility Update Under Consideration
Trans USA’s current eligibility criteria include United States citizens and lawful permanent residents. The Board is considering an expansion of these criteria for applicants who have a pending immigration process that may lead to lawful permanent resident status or United States citizenship. This matter will be formally discussed at our next meeting.
If this describes your circumstances, please do not be discouraged from applying. You may submit your application and request a confidential eligibility review. If the expanded criteria are approved, a designated member of core leadership will contact you privately regarding next steps.
Please do not upload immigration records or other sensitive documentation through this application. Any later documentation will be requested through a separate, secure process, reviewed only by specifically designated core leaders, used solely for determining eligibility, and not shared with judges, contestants, general staff, or the public.
