VCO Candidate Requirements:
- 18 years-old or above
- Live in the United Kingdom (includes overseas students or working professionals)
- Passionate about addressing the climate and biodiversity crises
- Self-motivated, ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and independently
- Time management, reliability, e.g., letting us know when you will/won't be able to volunteer
- You do not need to work in the public sector to become a VCO, but this role is not suitable for anyone currently working in the private sector (due to potential conflicts of interest)
- You do not need to have a background in sustainability/climate/ecology/related discipline. Climate affects everyone so we need people from all backgrounds, which is also crucial for driving systemic responses.
The tasks of this role range from Slack and Trello administration, to engaging with our 1500+ members online, helping organize/hosting online events, gathering and analysing feedback, promoting our community, content creation on our LinkedIn/Facebook/Twitter, website maintenance, and any other ideas you may have!
