Please use the following form to submit all new characters to Riverside Opera.

This is not a complete character generator and is therefor not substitute for Laws of the Night, Revised or the Character Creation and House Rules pages of the Riverside Opera Website. Please reference all three when creating your character.

The basic point allotment and character creation rules have been added in various parts of this form to assist with character creation. If you still find yourself in need of help, please reach out to a member of staff and we will walk you through the process.

Generation determines several things about your character: Blood pool, Willpower pool, Trait caps, Ability caps, and how much blood a character can spend a turn. Please reference the Generation chart on page 95 of Laws of the Night, Revised when choosing your character's generation.

Generations lower than 8th are not available for PCs in Riverside Opera.

Do not forget to spend the appropriate Background points to support your chosen Generation.

Please reference the House Rules, Character Creation page, and Laws of the Night Revised when choosing your Path of Enlightenment.

Remember that most characters will be on Path of Humanity and that all other paths are drastically different from Humanity. Do not make the choice to follow one lightly.

A character's Path Rating is determined by adding Conscience/Conviction + Self-Control/Instinct and dividing by 2. Always round up. The player may opt to lower their character's Path Rating by one step for 2 Free Traits.

Virtue Traits:
Conscience, Self-Control, and Courage all begin with 1 free point in them. Conviction and Instinct begin at 0. Please confirm which Virtues are used by your chosen Path before filling out this section of the Character Sheet.

After the above mentioned free points are applied you have 7 points to spend on Virtues. That is, you have 7 points total, not 7 points in each virtue. Virtues should equal to 10 when added together on Paths that use Conscience and Self-Control. Virtues should equal 9 when added together on Paths that use either Conviction or Instinct. Virtues should equal 8 when added together on Paths that use both Conviction and Instinct.

Choose the order in which you wish to assign traits. You may then choose 7 traits in your Primary category, 5 traits in your Secondary category, and 3 traits in your Tertiary category.

As an optional step to character creation you may take up to 5 of the negative traits listed below. You are not required to take any. For each Negative Trait you take, you gain a Free Trait you may spend after base character creation.

When submitting your sheet please also remember to check any negative traits awarded by clan disadvantages or flaws you may have taken. For example: Nosferatu and Samedi gain Repugnant x3. They cannot gain Free Traits from these negative traits. They are in addition to the optional 5.
