Below are some of the issues that parents sometimes have when communicating with Gen Z. Please check the boxes if that particular issue is at times a barrier between you and you child. *

My child sometimes gets too emotional and shuts down communications.

My child doesn't seem to care as much about his/her future than I do.

My child moves on quickly after quite large disagreements while I still wish to discuss it.

My child has anxiety issues that seem to have gotten worse during the pandemic.

My child has rather selective hearing and often ignores things they don't wish to hear.

I don't think my child can relate to adult reasoning yet. Disagreements turn into stalemates quickly.

My child is in their online world most of the time which is a barrier between us.

I want my child to get outside and do some physical activities and this causes some tension between us.

I feel like my child takes a lot of privileges for granted.

I am concerned that he/she has an addiction to video games and this is impacting both communications and academic progress.

I have major concerns about his/her exposure to negative influences from Social Media.

He or She is introverted and I feel like the lack of socializing due to the pandemic has made that issue worse.
