We are excited to invite you to an Insigneo-themed PubhD networking event, co-organised with PubhD Sheffield. The event will take place on Thursday, 13 November 2025, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at The Red Deer Pub, 18 Pitt St, Sheffield S1 4DD.
PubhD (Pub + PhD) Sheffield is a PGR student-led group that hosts monthly sessions where 2–3 Sheffield-based PhD students present their research to the public in an informal, engaging way — using nothing more than a whiteboard.
The aim is to spark discussion, build confidence in presentation skills, and make research accessible to everyone.
This special Insigneo-themed edition of PubhD will bring together early career researchers across the institute, offering a unique opportunity to:
• Share your research in a relaxed and supportive setting
• Network with fellow ECRs from different disciplines
• Practice science communication skills while enjoying a friendly atmosphere
📍 Please note: although the event takes place in a local pub, there is no requirement to consume alcohol.
