REALTOR® of the Year
The Association’s highest honor recognizes a member for his or her civic, business, and industry-related activities and achievements in the 12 months prior to the award’s presentation.

Period of consideration: January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017. Nominee must be a current and active member in good standing of the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS® and must have been a member from January 1st to December 31st of the nomination year. Past winners for the previous two years and the current Golden Isles Association of REALTORS® Board President will not be eligible for nomination.

Eligibility Criteria for REALTOR® of the Year
1. REALTOR® Spirit: High principles, faithfulness to laws and regulations of Code of Ethics and local Board, and furtherance of principles of good real estate practice, among other brokers and the general public. (30%)

2. REALTOR® Accomplishments: Recognized for production and good business conduct, service to clients, education, and current, updated Professional Designations, etc. (Emphasis should be on current year, but go no further back than three years.) (25%)

3. Local Association Activity: Association leadership positions held, committee participation, special assignments.  (emphasize current year but may include LEADERSHIP involvement for past three years.) (25%)

4. Civic Activity: Local, state, and national level participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political commissions, fraternal or religious groups, etc. (Only activities from the current year should be listed.)  (15%)

5. State/National Association Activity: Offices held and committee work, attendance and participation in State Conventions, directors' educational conferences, etc. Please provide specific committees. (Only activities from the current year may be included.) (5%)

A member may nominate himself or herself for REALTOR® of the Year only. All other awards nominations must come from a member who is not the one being nominated. Nominations cannot be submitted anonymously. If the member is nominating himself or herself or another member, the member providing the nomination must provide his or her name and contact information. Each nomination must provide sufficient evidence within the form in order for the Awards Committee to accept and review the content of the form. Each narrative or reason for nomination provided must be at least 50 words in length. If a nominee attended a state or national convention and was not partially or fully reimbursed by the Association then more points will awarded to that nominee.
