McMUN 2019 Committees/Logistical & Events Staff Application
****Please note that the deadline for applications has been extended to Friday December 7th at 11:59 PM****

Dear Prospective Staffer,

Thank you for expressing interest in joining the staffing team for McMUN 2019! Whether you are an experienced Model United Nations participant or someone looking for their first experience with the International Relations Students Association of McGill (IRSAM), we strongly encourage you to pursue this opportunity to get involved with McMUN.

The McGill Model United Nations Assembly is McGill's largest academic conference, with over 1,500 delegates. This also makes McMUN the second largest Model UN conferences in North America and one of the most competitive and well-known conferences in the world. McMUN gives university students the opportunity to simulate the United Nations committees and other regional and policy-making bodies, through 28 innovative committees over a four day conference. Delegates are challenged to engage in critical debate and innovative problem-solving, all while fostering their negotiation and diplomatic skills. Additionally, delegates are invited to participate in McMUN's legendary social events, including the Friday night social and McParté. It is McMUN's unique mix of rigorous competition and world class social events that have put us on the map as one of the most prestigious conferences in the world.

McMUN would not be possible without the commitment of over 600 McGill students who dedicate their time to the conference every year - and that is where you come in! McMUN is a vibrant, educational, and memorable experience for both delegates and staffers, and over the course of four days you will be rewarded for your contributions through participation in our legendary social events and engaging committees. Staffing McMUN in either a committee or logistical position is a great way to gain experience, make new friends from McGill and all over the world, and to participate in a conference known for the personal growth and cherished memories it fosters.

We are looking forward to building a great team of dedicated and passionate staffers that will really make McMUN 2019 special for all delegates. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact either our Chief of Staff Samuil Rosenov Stoychev (, USG Committees Madeleine Kausel ( or Director of Events Laine Lubgans (

Please note that this application process closes on Friday, December 7th at 11:59 PM.

We look forward to reading your applications, and cannot wait to work together to make McMUN 2019 the most successful conference to date.

Best Regards,

Samuil Rosenov Stoychev
Chief of Staff
