Downtown Welcome Back Weeks & Summer Events Form
As downtown Seattle sees the return of more workers, visitors and tourists, we want to ensure a safe, welcoming and positive experience. To help reconnect workers and visitors to downtown, we’re spearheading two Welcome Back Weeks: July 12-24 and September 4-19.
During the first week of each two-week period, we’ll have tented booths in various locations downtown. Booths will feature music, refreshments and friendly staff who can answer questions about what’s open, what’s changed and even offer updates on commuting options.
Throughout the summer, we’ll also be creating countless opportunities for workers, residents and visitors to participate in fun and safe events -- from outdoor concerts and movies to happy hours and urban hikes.
To make these “Welcome Back Weeks” as full and rich as possible, DSA/MID is asking all downtown stakeholders and partners to participate. We are encouraging others to offer unique opportunities, deals, promotions or incentives to attract people downtown. Ideas include: Two-for-one tickets, discounted entry to attractions, “Welcome Back” specials, sidewalk sales, prizes, early access to stores/attractions, etc.
We’ll be advertising and promoting summer activations with a public-facing campaign and driving consumers to a dedicated microsite that will feature major events, activations and promotions happening in downtown. Partners will also be asked to promote their activities through their channels to amplify the message.
