O Antiphons Meditation
St. Columba’s Advent Day of Reflection: The "O Antiphons!"

Join Fr. Vincent, Vicar of St. Columba’s, for an Advent day of Silence and Reflection on December 17th from 10am -4pm. On this day, which begins the Octave before Christmas Eve, the Church throughout the world begins her week-long meditation on the "O Antiphons” — those beautiful titles attributed to Jesus that come from the ancient prophecies of Isaiah and Micah: O Wisdom, O Adonai, O Root of Jesse, O Key of David, O Radiant Dawn, O King of Nations, O Emmanuel. Fr. Vincent will explore the scriptural basis for these titles and open the way for meditation on the God whose love breaks into the world not with the ferocity of a divine warrior but with the vulnerability of an infant messiah.
