2019 Platte River Float Trip Registration

September 28th, 2019, 9:00 AM launch from Sharp's Station Boat Ramp in Platte City, MO
We will begin floating at the Sharp's Station boat ramp and float to the Platte Falls boat ramp known as "The Duck's Head"
Participants are required to provide their own boats, life jackets, water and snacks for the trip. Kayaks can be rented through KC Kayak & Canoe at the following link:

Platte County Parks will provide transportation for the event, participants will be able to park their cars at "The Duck's Head" and ride a bus to Sharp's Station. Boats must be dropped off prior to getting on the bus, we will have someone stationed at Sharp's Station to watch over everyone's equipment.
This 7.75 mile trip typically takes 3.5-4 hours. Everyone should be back to the Duck's Head by 12:00 pm where we plan on serving lunch.
This float trip is for people of all ages, but we do recommend having previous experience floating on a river.
We will watch the forecast and river conditions very closely. If river conditions are not favorable, or the forecast does not look good we will cancel this event. We will communicate any cancellation through the email address you provide below.
