Big Shoulders Fund is looking for highly motivated and hard-working high school students to experience a once-in-a-lifetime work opportunity as a Ranch Hand at Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming. Through this application process, Big Shoulders will select groups of male and female students to participate in the Outdoors Bound program.

Selected students will engage in a series of activities and enrichment sessions during the second half of the school-year and will be assigned a 3-4 week travel session within the summer weeks of June 24-August 10, 2018.

- Must be a current Junior or Senior and in good standing with your high school.
- Must be able to commit to a 3 to 4 week stay at Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads (50 pounds).
- Having a valid driver’s license is preferred.

* Applications are open to all students that meet these criteria, but preference will be given to students who are: 1) currently receiving a Big Shoulders scholarship, 2) attending a Big Shoulders high school, and/or 3) attended Staddle Camp at Brush Creek Ranch during middle school.

Ranch Hands will be responsible for four full days of ranch work, including but not limited to:
- Groundskeeping
- Landscaping
- General labor and maintenance
- Fence-mending
- Working with ranch animals

- All travel, lodging, and food expenses covered.
- Three full days of outdoors experiences, including hiking, camping, rafting, etc.
- $600/week for completed work
- Amazing experience to include in any college application!

**Brush Creek Ranch staff or a Big Shoulders Fund supervisor will oversee students at all times.**
