The purpose of this delegation is to build solidarity between the movements of Honduras and the United States and increase understanding of how both the U.S. and Canada governments and corporations continue to interfere in Honduran sovereignty. You will meet some of the courageous defenders of democracy and labor rights in Honduras. It is very important to respect and protect their safety and autonomy as we develop trust. Please be prepared to be extremely flexible, as the situation in Honduras is constantly developing. Additionally, we will be working directly with organizations and movements of the community, so prepare for varying schedules in relation to length of days and meal times.
All delegates must be over 18 years of age. All delegates must have a current passport or travel authorization in good standing or be able to acquire one at their own cost. You must have a passport that will not expire for at least six months after our trip is completed.
While the delegation will be only nine days, the commitment to some form of activism using what you learned or experienced on this trip after the tour is important. Please refrain from applying if you are unable to commit to this.
While speaking Spanish is helpful, it is by no means a requirement. An interpreter will be with the delegation in its entirety.
We value diversity. Please apply regardless of nationality, race, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic status, or any other differences.
The cost of the delegation is at most $1530. If we have more than 8 people, the price will go down. With 12, it will cost $1266 not including airfare to and from Honduras. Please help us recruit. DO NOT MAKE FLIGHT RESERVATIONS BEFORE YOUR APPLICATION IS APPROVED AND YOU RECEIVE NOTICE THAT THE DELEGATION IS CONFIRMED.
Applications are due by October 15, 2023. You will be notified if you are accepted within a week.
When your application is accepted, please make a deposit of half of the cost or $765 by October 30. Make checks payable to Cross Border Network and mail to: Cross Border Network PO Box 45753 Kansas City MO 64171. Credit card payments can be made on our web page
crossbordernetwork.org. However, we prefer a mailed check as our credit card processing company deducts a percentage as a fee. If you’d like to use PayPal or Venmo, contact Judy at 816-835-4745. Full payment is required by Dec. 28, 2023.
Please fill out the application below. When you have finished, please send an email to
