In preparation for our first meeting, please take a moment to fill in your personal information and to complete a short client questionnaire. Fee Schedule
Design Consultation Rate:   $95 per hour

Billable time at the Design Consultation Rate applies to client meetings, phone & email communication, selecting and/or purchasing products, product research, providing design ideas, space planning, product specification for new construction and remodeling projects, and other design services needed to make your home more functional and beautiful.  Rough estimates for each project can be provided upon request.

Travel Time Rate:   $25 per hour

Billable time at the reduced Travel Time Rate applies to my time traveling to/from vendors and merchants from my home office in Davidson, NC.

Client Meetings
Clients are seen by scheduled appointments at client’s home, office, construction site, vendor, or merchant’s location.  Business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm.  Exceptions can be made for appointments after hours and on weekends to accommodate client’s work schedule.
Communication
Please use email to communicate with me between appointments about your project.  Please use texts only for alerting me that you need to change an appointment or need directions or other brief and time critical issues.
Custom Orders
All specialty orders from custom vendors are non-refundable and are not returnable and may require 100% payment up-front.  Examples are window treatments, upholstery, special order furniture, custom designed headboards or sofas, custom measured drapery rods.
Merchandise
Merchandise to be purchased through me will be specified in writing for your approval.  

The item price, along with applicable sales tax will be provided ahead of time.  In addition, I will provide an estimate for the fees for shipping, delivery, and installation.  Please note that these are approximate fees.

Items purchased at many retail stores will be charged a 20% upcharge fee.  If the store, such as Ballard or Pottery Barn, provides me with a designer discount, there will not be an upcharge fee.  The 20% upcharge and/or the discount covers my administrative time and costs.  
Returns
No returns on custom orders.

Other returned items will be subject to a 20-30% restocking fee, depending on the manufacturer.
Invoices
Clients will be invoiced for design and consulting services and purchased merchandise.  Invoices will be sent through Quickbooks to the client every 2-3 weeks depending on the scope of the project.  Quickbooks accepts ACH payments via checking accounts for no fee.  Should you want to pay with a credit card, ask me to allow credit card payments for your invoice.  

Credit Card Fees:
$25:   Invoices under $1,000
$100: Invoices $1,000 - $10,000
$300: Invoices over $10,000

 I also accept cash and checks.  Payment is due upon receipt.  
Photography Rights
Photographs are often taken at the start of the project and at its completion for documentation purposes.  We will exclude personally identifying accessories (such as family portraits).  If you are willing to allow before and after pictures of your project to be posted on my website, please check the optional box below.
