Hello! Jenn & Bren here, the owners of Gem Addict Workshop. We're looking for fun, upbeat people to join our team as part-time Silversmith Instructors!

We're looking for someone who works well with others, is a fast learner, and a clear communicator. You will be learning the advanced skill of silversmithing and teaching it to others. This requires fine motor skills, attention to detail, patience, creativity & a good attitude. Your own teachability is extremely important- silversmithing is a craft that can take a lot of time & practice to become proficient in, and you must be willing to receive and learn from constructive criticism. You'll have the guidance our ourselves and our team of instructors to help you become comfortable & confident in silversmithing as well as teaching customers!

If hired, you'll be trained in silversmithing for a period, then begin instructing customers in workshops. In the workshop, it will be your responsibility to guide 2-4 customers at a time to handcraft high quality jewelry in a timely manner. It's also your job to create a fun, positive, comfortable atmosphere for customers- this is very important to us! Outside of teaching workshops, you'll also have the opportunity to get creative on your own and design + create products for our website and storefront. If available, you may also work open store hours for customers to come in & shop finished products. 

Workshops are weeknights at 6pm, and Saturdays at 10am, 2pm, & 6pm, with occasional 1pm workshops on Thursdays and Fridays. Flexibility is helpful, as the schedule will vary somewhat each week. Starting pay is $15/hour. No previous silversmithing experience is necessary. Customer service experience is also not necessary, but preferred.
