Milwaukee Public Schools University (MPSU) supports MPS High School graduates who are seeking to become paraprofessionals and licensed teachers with Milwaukee Public Schools.
 
Becoming a paraprofessional at Milwaukee Public Schools requires candidates to hold a high school diploma and pass the Para Pro basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills test.

GYO paraprofessionals can become a teacher at Milwaukee Public Schools by attending college to earn a bachelor's degree, passing any required exams required for state licensure, and be endorsed by their college/university for a teaching license.

MPSU supports MPS graduates who want to become a GYO paraprofessional and those who want to continue their education to become a licensed teacher.
