ARA Group Membership Application may take as much as 4 weeks to be processed.

ARAG Rules and Responsibilities
ARA Group Rules
ARA Groups, and the ARA Members for whom they are responsible, are expected to comply with relevant legislation as well as the letter, spirit and intent of the ARA Constitution, By Laws, Code of Conduct, Policies, Practices and Guidelines which are available at: http://www.reenactors.org.au/documents/

1. Membership in ARAGs is exclusively for ARA Members only making the ARAG an informal subgroup of the ARA.
2. ARAGs objectives must be compatible with the objectives of the ARA and ARAGs are expected by their actions to uphold the objectives of the ARA.
3. ARAGs are accountable for the conduct of their members in compliance with the ARA Code of Conduct.
4. ARAGs are required to pay the Annual ARAG fee to the ARA.
5. ARAGs must provide the ARA with a list of the names and ARA Members numbers of the ARA Members in the ARAG
6. ARAGs share the ARA PL policy by being listed by name on the ARA PL Certificate of Currency

Member Responsibilities
o To pay membership dues on having their membership approved, and each year thereafter
o To have adequate rules and regulations covering health and safety, finance and administration of the activities they participate in.
o To maintain proper records, of your activities and provide them to the ARA on request
o To be non-sectarian and non-political
o To act with integrity
o To not bring the ARA into disrepute
o The ARA may be brought into disrepute by actions of its Members that are contrary or inconsistent with the letter, spirit and/or intent of the ARA’s Constitution, By Laws, Code of Conduct, Policies and Practices
o To obey the laws of the land and relevant legislation regarding activities you may engage in.
o To deal with clients and the general public with integrity in an ethical and courteous manner
o To portray their chosen period/s as authentically as is reasonably possible
o To inform the ARA as soon as practicable of changes in contact details, or any other circumstances that may affect the ARA.
o To inform the ARA of any ‘prohibited persons’ among ARA members and to conform to any relevant legislation regarding prohibited persons. (NB: Prohibited persons are not automatically barred from membership but if admitted must not engage in any legally prohibited activities.)
o To notify the ARA committee of any activities, events and meetings which may fall outside the terms of the insurance policy, for example, large events, or if your group conducts any activities on a regular basis that are not covered in the description given below or any event that is outside your normal activities. (Please note that additional premiums may apply in some circumstances and that the ARA committee is not able to advise on this without contacting the insurer through our broker)

Safety Rules
Members must provide a copy (via email to admin@reenactors.org.au) of any additional safety guidelines or procedures that apply to their activities other than the standard ARA guidelines that all ARA must comply with http://www.reenactors.org.au/documents/

Acknowledgement of ARA Group Obligations and Requirements
This section acknowledges the Obligations and requirements of Groups applying for ARAG status .
1. Membership in ARAGs is exclusively for ARA Members only *

I declare that I am duly authorised by the Group listed above to apply on it's behalf for Group Memebrship in the ARA. I hereby apply, on behalf of the Group listed above, for Group membership in the Australian Re-enactors Association (ARA) and that in the event of acceptance of the Group's membership application I agree to pay the required fees and the Group to be bound by and comply with the letter, spirit and intent of the ARA Constitution, By Laws, Code of Conduct, Policies, Practices, Guidelines and relevant legislation and agree to their responsibilities listed above as part of ARA membership.
