1. Membership in ARAGs is exclusively for ARA Members only making the ARAG an informal subgroup of the ARA.2. ARAGs objectives must be compatible with the objectives of the ARA and ARAGs are expected by their actions to uphold the objectives of the ARA.3. ARAGs are accountable for the conduct of their members in compliance with the ARA Code of Conduct.4. ARAGs are required to pay the Annual ARAG fee to the ARA.5. ARAGs must provide the ARA with a list of the names and ARA Members numbers of the ARA Members in the ARAG 6. ARAGs share the ARA PL policy by being listed by name on the ARA PL Certificate of Currency
Member Responsibilitieso To pay membership dues on having their membership approved, and each year thereafter o To have adequate rules and regulations covering health and safety, finance and administration of the activities they participate in.o To maintain proper records, of your activities and provide them to the ARA on request o To be non-sectarian and non-politicalo To act with integrityo To not bring the ARA into disreputeo The ARA may be brought into disrepute by actions of its Members that are contrary or inconsistent with the letter, spirit and/or intent of the ARA’s Constitution, By Laws, Code of Conduct, Policies and Practiceso To obey the laws of the land and relevant legislation regarding activities you may engage in.o To deal with clients and the general public with integrity in an ethical and courteous mannero To portray their chosen period/s as authentically as is reasonably possibleo To inform the ARA as soon as practicable of changes in contact details, or any other circumstances that may affect the ARA.o To inform the ARA of any ‘prohibited persons’ among ARA members and to conform to any relevant legislation regarding prohibited persons. (NB: Prohibited persons are not automatically barred from membership but if admitted must not engage in any legally prohibited activities.)o To notify the ARA committee of any activities, events and meetings which may fall outside the terms of the insurance policy, for example, large events, or if your group conducts any activities on a regular basis that are not covered in the description given below or any event that is outside your normal activities.
