Group Size
We like to have a high ratio of docents to children when we go out on the trail: no more than 4 or 5 children per docent up to 3rd grade, 6 through middle school, and 8 in high school. You must provide one chaperone(responsible adult)  to go with each docent.

Visit Time
Visits typically take 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the group’s age and abilities.
Weekdays: Our most popular times for field trips are mornings between 9:00 and noon, but if another time works better for you, we can adjust.
Weekends: From March through May, hikes start 2 pm or as late as 4 pm. June to February hike times are more flexible.
