RTCA Bylaws Task Force: Survey of Round Table Members
ALA's Steering Committee on Organizational Effectiveness (SCOE) has provided recommendations that all round tables have the same membership categories, charge the same membership dues, and in other ways standardize certain aspects of governance. The Round Table Coordinating Assembly (RTCA)'s Bylaws Working Group is trying to assess the potential impacts of implementation on round tables and round table members. Please fill out the following survey, which has nine questions and should take about ten minutes to complete. Based on SCOE recommendations, round tables are considering more uniformity in terms of the names of round table governing bodies. Which of the following names do you prefer in reference to your round table’s highest-level governing body?

Finally, you likely have heard that ALA might start requiring round tables to meet a minimum number of dues-paying members, or be subject to closure. The current proposed threshold is 1% of ALA's membership, or roughly 567 members. Down the road, if your round table were closed due to low membership, what would be the impact on your future engagement with ALA, other round tables, etc.?
