Sardar Chain Singh Sandhu Education Fund


The Sardar Chain Singh Sandhu Education Fund was established in honor of Sardar Chain Singh Sandhu. The former CEO of NYX Inc, Mr. Sandhu was a philanthropist and community leader, as well as the founding member of Sikh Foundation. Always devoted to bettering his community, this scholarship was established in his memory to support students pursuing higher education.

  • The Mission of the Sardar Chain Singh Sandhu Education Fund is to help improve the quality of life of our communities through higher education.
  • The Vision of the Sardar Chain Singh Sandhu Education Fund  is to create a world where every student has the opportunity to pursue higher education without financial burden. 
  • The Purpose of the Sardar Chain Singh Sandhu Education Fund is to provide scholarships to deserving high school graduating seniors intending to pursue a course of study at a two-year or four-year education institution.

Candidate Requirements

  • Current resident of Michigan
  • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award (i.e., must be graduating high school in Spring/Summer 2025 and attending an accredited higher education institution in Fall 2025)
  • Exhibit leadership and be active in Sikh community
  • Applicant may not be related to any Board of Trustees of the Sikh Foundation
  • Applicant must be willing to attend a scholarship orientation with the Sardar Chain Singh Sandhu Education Fund Committee
  • NOTE: Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student upon evidence of registration in an accredited higher education institution, and scholarship funds may be utilized for tuition, books/supplies, and/or housing. Documentation of funds used must be presented to the scholarship committee.
In addition to completing the form below, you must have one (1) Letter of Recommendation from a current or former Teacher, Coach, Supervisor or individual who can speak to your academic and/or professional experience emailed to sikheducationfund@gmail.com for full consideration.

The application deadline is May 10th, 2025. All materials (Google form, transcript, & letter of recommendation) must be received by this date. Individuals selected for the scholarship will be notified by May 31st, 2025.
