Join us for a two part series to learn about parasite management in livestock. We will discuss best management practices for controlling parasites in our herds and flocks.
Part one: We will discuss fecal egg counts (FEC): why we do them, utilizing results to make management decisions, benefits, and limitations. Participants will learn how to perform a FEC. All livestock will be included for the discussion; however, there will be a large focus on small ruminants. This will be conducted via Zoom OR at the Stokes Extension Center. The Zoom will be recorded if you can't attend live.
Part two: Hands-on training for fecal egg counting. Bring a FRESH, fecal sample from your livestock for egg counting.
