Library and Information Literacy Terms
Informed Consent: We are Shenandoah University librarians Andy Kulp and Rosemary Green, and we are conducting a study to learn more about student understanding of library terminology. Please help us by taking this survey !!!

The information you provide is completely voluntary, and you may quit at any time. The survey will first ask you questions about your class status (freshman, sophomore, masters, etc.) and your age. You will then see several terms and phrases that relate to library instruction and library research, and you will be asked to select a definition for each. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.

All information you provide will be kept anonymous; you cannot be identified. You may stop participating at any time, without consequences or penalty.

The information collected will be used for the stated purposes of this study only and will not be provided to any other party except and only if required by law. You should be aware that, although the information you provide is anonymous, it is being transmitted online, in a non-secure manner. There is a remote chance that someone not associated with this study could track the information you provide to the IP address of the computer you are using. However, your personal identity cannot be determined; your anonymity will remain secure.

By taking this survey, you indicate that you have read, understood, and accepted the conditions we have described and that you agree to participate in the study.

Please contact us if you have questions about our study: Andy Kulp and Rosemary Green
