7-12th Remote Learning Expectations
The student will only be allowed to return to in-person school when a district team, which includes the parents/guardians, has determined the need for an individual learning plan based on the significant academic needs of the student.  Otherwise, the student will remain on remote the entire third quarter.

Before electing remote learning for your child, you must accept each remote learning expectation.  Once you have done that, you may select remote learning and fill in some additional information.

El estudiante solo podrá regresar a la escuela en persona cuando un equipo del distrito, que incluye a los padres / tutores, haya determinado la necesidad de un plan de aprendizaje individual basado en las necesidades académicas importantes del estudiante. De lo contrario, el estudiante permanecerá en remoto durante todo el tercer trimestre.

Attendance will be taken every class period. Handbook attendance requirements will be in effect, even for remote learners. It is not acceptable to simply not show up to class, even in a remote setting.   La asistencia se tomará en cada período de clases.  Los requisitos de asistencia del manual estarán vigentes, incluso para estudiantes remotos. Student work and assessments will be graded following the same guidelines as students who are attending in person.  El trabajo y las evaluaciones de los estudiantes se calificarán siguiendo las mismas pautas que los estudiantes que asisten en persona.
Students in remote learning may need to meet with a teacher one-on-one to seek help and may schedule appointments with their teacher(s).  Los estudiantes en aprendizaje remoto pueden necesitar reunirse con un maestro uno a uno para buscar ayuda y pueden programar citas con sus maestros.
Students must be able to participate at home without distractions or competing sounds (TV, music, shouting, etc.) that could interfere with learning.   Los estudiantes deben poder participar en casa sin distracciones o sonidos en competencia (televisión, música, gritos, etc.) que puedan interferir con el aprendizaje.
If parents/guardians choose to observe live sessions, we ask that they refrain from speaking or interfering with the lesson in any way. If the parent/guardian needs to speak with the teacher, a separate meeting must be scheduled.  Si los padres/tutores eligen observar las sesiones en vivo, les pedimos que se abstengan de hablar o interferir con la lección de cualquier manera. Expectations for student behavior during live lessons or Google Meets is the same as it would be when attending school in person. The student should be attentive and respectful toward classmates and the teacher. Food should not be eaten while participating in these sessions.  Las expectativas sobre el comportamiento de los estudiantes durante las lecciones en vivo o Google Meets son las mismas que cuando asisten a la escuela en persona. Remote students who are receiving special education, RTI or English language services will have additional remote meetings that will be scheduled on a case-by-case basis.  Los estudiantes remotos que están recibiendo educación especial, RTI o servicios de idioma inglés tendrán reuniones remotas adicionales que se programaran caso por caso.
If a remote student is not meeting the required expectations, then a meeting will be scheduled with the parents and student to discuss the need to return to in-person learning.   Si un estudiante remoto no cumple con las expectativas requeridas, se programará una reunión con los padres y el estudiante para discutir la necesidad de regresar al aprendizaje en persona.
