'Mixtape in a Week' is for you.
This August, Newham Music is bringing its pop-up studio space to Stratford Youth Zone. For one week only, we're inviting the young people of Newham to join us to write, produce and perform, a 'mixtape in a week',
a blend of music and drama, guided by Newham Music's team of professional producers, rappers and singers,
and award-winning facilitator, director and poet Kat Francois.
The week includes:
- Teaching + use of the vocal booth
- Writing and production of original material
- Meeting other young people and building artistic partnerships
- Free mentorship by industry professionals
- A final performance in the main theatre space at Stratford Youth Zone directed by Kat Francois
Dates and Times - 23rd-28th August, 10am-4pm

The venue is accessible, however please let us know your accessibility needs.
The project is open to young people aged 15+ of all abilities and experience levels.
Participation is COMPLETELY FREE.

Please note that there will be a small filming crew on site from Catalyst in the Communities. We will send a Permission Form separately.
