Since 1992, the Foundation Grants program has awarded more than $700,000 to teachers for creative and innovative classroom projects. Thanks to these educators’ tireless efforts to improve their skills and increase their effectiveness, students in Rock Hill Schools are experiencing a better learning environment. The Foundation Board of Directors sincerely hopes these grants continue to inspire teachers and serve as a catalyst for a lifetime of learning.
Grant applications are accepted and awarded three times each year. For consideration, applications must be received electronically through this application by the following dates:
July 10, 2017, October 2, 2017, and February 1, 2018.
*TERMS & CONDITIONS for 2017-2018*
1. One grant awarded per applicant per school year
2. Awards may not be considered for applicants that received grant awards in the past and did not submit final evaluations
3. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that Principal recommendations are submitted before grant submission deadlines. Be sure to follow up on your requests for Principal recommendations. Be sure to allow ample time for the Principal to write his/her recommendation for the grant request. Consider holidays and work schedule commitments before the grant deadline. Proposals with missing recommendations will be scored down significantly.
4. The Foundation considers grant awards for creative instructional and enrichment activities which are outside the financial support of the school site and/or general operating budget. Grants are awarded at discretion of the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation Grants Committee. 5. Proposals that are not typically currently funded are (list could change each cycle):Standard Classroom Furniture, Food, Incentives, Transportation, Ukuleles, Select Books, Flexible Seating, Desk Cycles, and Annual Field Studies 6.
