FFI Pen Pals is a new way to “experience different views and discover common ground”. Get matched up with another FFI member based on your interests – shared hobbies, common interests, a specific region or city, or a foreign language you’d like to practise. Or simply be surprised and get matched randomly!
Then sit down and start writing – all you need is your computer or a pen, a piece of paper, an envelope and a stamp. While we call this the FFI Pen Pal Program, you are welcome to decide together on your preferred method of communication. A lot of people enjoy the more traditional process of writing and exchanging letters by post; others prefer the swiftness and convenience of email. Some of our pairs combine both email and post, while others meet from time to time via Zoom or Skype for a face-to-face chat.
This is a great and easy way for individuals to continue building bridges of understanding across the barriers that separate us. Your new-found personal friendship may even set the groundworks for both your clubs to meet some day in the future.
