Please fill out this application to be considered for the 2019-2020 TWR season. We will contact you with more details about these positions in the next couple of weeks. Thank you for your interest, and we appreciate your passion for education and community outreach on the ski slopes.
Ski With a Ranger Volunteers are present at Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird and Alta on Saturdays, Sundays throughout the Ski Season. Volunteers interact with members of the general public through daily-guided interpretive programs and general (roving) contacts. Volunteers discuss the concepts of watershed, public lands and the natural and cultural features of the resorts/canyons.
Volunteers are seen as good-will “ambassadors” of the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation (CCF), the United States Department of Agriculture, the Forest Service, the Salt Lake Ranger District, and its Special Use Permittee (Ski Resorts). Providing positive guest relations while informing visitors is key to the success of the Ski With a Ranger Program. It is essential that volunteers keep a happy, positive, politically neutral and professional attitude on the job.
