On Saturday 22 April 2023, your child has the opportunity to take part in the 'TCS Mini London Marathon'. The event, held on part of the London Marathon route, will give children the experience of running, jogging or walking the 1 mile route/2.6K route past Buckingham Palace and over the world-famous finish line at The Mall.
All roads, surrounding the event, will be closed on the day and the route will be fully enclosed. The track will be staffed by the organisers all along the route, as well as having medical points and vehicles up the front and rear of the runners.
For every 8 children in Reception, Y1 and Y2 there will be an adult running alongside them and children from Y3 will run the route alone or with their friends. There will be a system in place where parents will drop their children off in an enclosed area at which point they will be given a collection number, which will enable them to collect their child/ren from an enclosed area at the finish line. More details will follow once your child's place has been confirmed. It is on a first come first served basis.
Entry is free and every child who finishes will receive a TCS Mini London Marathon medal. As well as this ,TCS will donate £10 to the school for every child that finishes and all money raised will go towards further improving the playgrounds.
