Season of Creation Pilgrimage and Mass Oct. 4
Join us to celebrate the Season of Creation, the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si', and the 800th anniversary of St. Francis' Canticle of the Creatures.  We will gather at Our Lady, Help of Christians, 573 Washington St., Newton, at 11:50 for the pilgrimage. Starting promptly at 12, we will prayerfully visit nearby locations inspired by the themes of Laudato Si': spirituality, lifestyle choices, and prophetic advocacy. Our stops include a venerable beech tree to reflect on God's Creation, a "no-plastic" store to symbolize simple living, and a community garden as an example of community advocacy for Creation. The new Care for Creation Mass will follow, with Bishop Cristiano Barbosa presiding at 1 PM. A reception will then take place after the Mass, offering opportunities for conversation about Laudato Si' resources, parish events, advocacy, and networking. This event is sponsored by the Boston Catholic Climate Movement and co-sponsored by the Archdiocese of Boston. Questions? Contact BostonCatholicClimate@gmail.com.
