Alternabreak 2018 Application
Alternabreak is a week-long community engagement trip during Spring Break. Students commit their break to volunteering with organizations in the larger community, learning about and addressing social issues such as environmental injustice, food insecurity, gentrification, homelessness, hunger and immigration. This year, students may choose from six Alternabreak experiences:

-5C Houston Black Alternabreak (in partnership with OBSA AND open to 5C students)
-5C Oakland Black Alternabreak (in partnership with OBSA AND open to 5C students)
-5C San Diego Latinx Alternabreak (in partnership with CLSA AND open to 5C students)
-Houston Alternabreak (Open to PO students only)
-San Francisco Alternabreak (Open to PO students only)
-EA/OEC Alternabreak (Open to PO students only)

Students depart to Houston on Friday, March 9, 2018 and all other trips depart on Sunday, March 11, 2018. All trips return on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

To be considered for Alternabreak, submit this form by Sunday, November 26, 2017 @ 11:59pm AND attend one of the following Alternabreak Information Sessions. (Students applying for 5C Black Alternabreak or 5C Latinx Alternabreak may attend either the sessions offered at the Draper Center or the sessions offered at the different campuses.) Selections will be made by early December.
