Have you taken the CO 4053 Internship Class previously?
Overall GPA
Your answer
Communication GPA (Needed if overall GPA is lower than 2.8)
If your overall GPA is 2.8 or higher, you do not need to calculate your CO GPA. If your overall GPA is lower than 2.8, you should calculate your GPA in CO classes. For assistance calculating your CO GPA, please visit the following website. (For most courses, you will enter 3 for "credits." This is the number of credit hours you earned for the course. Do not enter plus/minus grades. Enter the grade as it appears on your CAPP report.) http://gpacalculator.net/college-gpa-calculator/

Anticipated Graduation Term
What semester will you be interning?
You must take the class the same semester as your internship. (Registration for Spring 2017 has ended. Requests to take CO 4053 in summer and fall will be reviewed starting in March)
What will your academic classification be during the semester you plan to intern?
What type of course credit are you seeking?
There are two options for receiving "credit" for an internship. (1) Junior and senior CO majors may enroll in CO 4053 which counts as a 3-credit hour, upper division course. It requires graded academic work in conjunction with the internship and requires regular university tuition and fees. (2) Students who do not need the upper division CO credit hours and/or do not wish to pay full tuition for the CO course may prefer to take the Career Center Internship class. There is a $25.00 fee associated with this course. The course will show up on the student's schedule in Banner as a 3 hour course; however, those 3 hours do not count toward degree hours. (They are considered "non-additive academic credit"). The course helps students officially document the internship on their transcript, maintain ties with MSU, and avoid the added cost of tuition.
List all core Communication classes you have taken or will have completed upon starting the internship.
Students are expected to have completed the introductory courses in their concentrations prior to doing an internship.
