Annunciation House Short Term Volunteer Interest
Thank you for your interest in assisting our efforts to provide hospitality to refugees in El Paso. This questionnaire is for out-of-town folks interested in short-term (2 weeks to 3 months) volunteering. If you are local from the El Paso/ Cd. Juárez/ Las Cruces area, please fill out this spreadsheet instead: http://bit.ly/3qJlSAL
Once we have received your response, the volunteer coordinator will follow up with you. Please allow up to two weeks for this. If you have additional questions, contact volunteercoordinator@annunciationhouse.org .

What dates are you available? We require a two-week minimum commitment and ask that you arrive on a designated Saturday to commence work on Sunday. Currently accepting for these arrival dates: November 2, November 16, November 30, December 14, December 28. **Please also note how long you would stay, if different than two weeks.** *
Have you volunteered with us before? *
If yes, when and where?
Tell us a little about yourself. What is your occupation? Any relevant experience? (E.g., work or volunteering with refugee or homeless populations?) *
How did you hear about us? *
Do you speak any Spanish? Describe proficiency. *
If you speak any other languages besides English or Spanish, please list.
Have you previously had a confirmed case of COVID-19? If so, when? *
Have you been vaccinated for COVID-19? If so, provide dates (approximate is fine). **We require volunteers to be vaccinated.**
*
Are you generally in good health? Please identify any health restrictions or physical limitations, including chronic conditions that would place you at higher risk for serious COVID (e.g. immunosuppression). *
If accepted, will you need Annunciation House to provide housing during your term of service? (Housing is gladly provided but is humble, usually within the same house of hospitality where someone is assigned to work; some people prefer to secure their own accommodations.) *
We will require a background check for all accepted volunteers. This is something we can help you obtain for a $15 fee paid directly to the service, or you can provide proof of background clearance from a current employer or volunteer supervisor. *
All individuals who offer to volunteer in any of Annunciation House’s hospitality centers must do so with the complete awareness that they could be exposed to COVID. Annunciation House takes precautions to protect volunteers and refugees, but we cannot guarantee that volunteers will not be exposed to COVID and could possibly contract COVID. *
