This Recommendation is due by Friday, February 16, 2018.
Rotary ELC is a FREE business leadership conference, from April 4, 2018 - Aprile 6, 2018, at 1440 Multiversity, in Scotts Valley, for high school juniors selected from many of the high schools in the community. Teams are formed with three girls and three boys from 6 different high schools. During the three days, the students work in team sessions, mentored by one or two Rotarian Team Advisors (RTAs) to develop the business concept (product or service) that they invent as a team. They will utilize the information they receive attending interactive sessions with presentations from business leaders focused on all aspects of starting or leading a business. The students also participate in team-building activities.
At the conclusion of the conference, each team, with all members participating, makes a business presentation to a panel of judges. Students may also be asked, shortly after the Conference, to attend a Rotary Club meeting to talk to the Club members about their experience with the program.
The student's GPA is not a requirement for selection. Students are chosen for their desire, interest, and vision, as well as having a relevant recommendation and feedback from their school. Your recommendation will only be shown to the Applicant Selection Committee.
