Virtual Open edX 2020
We are considering running the 2020 Open edX Conference as a fully remote event. While this will be less work than hosting the in-person version, it will still be a lot of work and we don’t want to do it if the community doesn’t value a fully remote event.
Here’s what we envision a virtual Open edX Conference would include, at minimum:
◼ Real-time keynotes with the opportunity to ask questions of and get answers from the presenters
◼ A good user experience for at least 500 real-time participants
◼ Track presentations with the same interactive capabilities as the keynotes
◼ Recordings of all sessions and materials for viewing after the conference
What were your primary intended modes of participation at the 2020 Open edX Conference?
Would you attend a fully remote version of the conference?
Would you speak at a fully remote version of the conference?
Would you be willing to buy a ticket to a fully remote version of the conference to defray the costs of organizing and hosting?
