Media Participant for Jusoor's Fifth Annual Conference
As the Syrian conflict enters its 7th year, thousands of Syrians have been forced to flee their homes for refuge in other countries. Since November 2015, Canada has resettled 40,000 Syrian refugees into Canada. Jusoor’s Fifth Annual Global Conference focuses on Canada’s response to the Syrian crisis.

The conference will take place at the University of Toronto at the Rotman School of Management on October 14, 2017 and will focus on the the themes of Social Integration and Inclusion through Higher Education Opportunities; Presenting Thriving Social Integration Solution and Case Studies; and Opportunities and Challenges to Economic Integration.

We will also hold a Disruptor lab competition where pre-selected teams will present their digital or tech innovative solutions to the myriad of challenges facing refugee resettlement. Finalists will present their work at the conference and compete for a $5,000 award in three categories of Education and Learning, Career and Economic Development, and Policy Disruption, as well as the opportunity to earn an incubation and will qualify for support in the areas of mentorship, office space, and networking..

We will also have many of the scholarship students available for interview, including many of the women who have been selected to take part in our 100 Syrian Women, 10,000 Syrian Lives Program, which focuses helping Syrian women continue their university education.

News organizations are invited to attend our fifth annual conference in Toronto. Please provide us with your information and the information of your news organization so that we can make sure you have all the necessary information. We look forward to seeing you on October 14th!
