CTE Interest Survey - Barbering I/Barbering II
Barbering I and II is a course sequence in the Health and Medical Sciences career cluster that allows students to engage in the study of hair, scalp and skin in a clinical lab setting, using mannequins and live models for practice of skills. Students acquire safety and sanitation, communication, and management skills. Related areas of study include psychology, ethics, and professional image. Successful completion of the course prepares students for apprenticeship and employment opportunities in barbershops or beauty salons. Students will have the opportunity to complete an appropriate industry credential (state licensure) as a component of the pathway.
