2018 HOLIDAY PARADE APPLICATION
On Saturday, November 17, 2018 the City of Harrisburg will proudly present the annual Holiday Parade in
Downtown Harrisburg. The parade will feature musical acts, floats, parade balloons, food vendors and much more.
This is a free event that draws over 10,000 attendees each year and is broadcast on local TV stations.

Parade Schedule:
10am - Parade forms on City Island
12pm - Parade begins
3pm - Awards Reception at Strawberry Square

Entry Fees and Prizes by Category:
- HS Marching Band
Free Entry | 1st place - $500, 2nd place - $300, 3rd place - $200
- Dance, Step & Drill Team Units
$50 Entry Fee | 1st, 2nd & 3rd place Trophies
- Commercial Sponsored Units (ex. Business/Corporate Groups)
$250 Entry Fee
- Specialty Units (ex. Color Guards, Non-School Bands)
$50 Entry Fee
- Miscellaneous Units (ex. Vintage Automobile Club)

NEW THIS YEAR! The theme for this year’s parade is “A Storybook Season.” All organizations (excluding band, dance, step & drill team units) are given the opportunity to enter the "Best in Theme" contest within this application. The winner(s) will be chosen based on their presentation of the parade theme and will receive a trophy.

NO SANTA'S WILL BE PERMITTED with parade entries as we will have one participating already.

After submitting your online application and waiver, you must also submit the following to clranckcameron@harrisburgpa.gov as needed:

____ Entrance fee payment (if applicable). Please make all checks payable to the Harrisburg Downtown Improvement

Your organization, if selected, agrees to participate in the 2018 Holiday Parade, in Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

In consideration for being accepted as a participant, we irrevocably grant the City of Harrisburg the exclusive
right to use in any media our name, likeness, photos or reproduction of our performance for any purpose
including promotion, advertising or otherwise. With these rights, we hereby release the City of Harrisburg and
its officials, employees, sponsors, and its agents from any claim, liabilities and/or damages that may now or in the
future arise by reason of such use. Further, we acknowledge that we are aware of the risks associated with
participation in this Parade and, therefore, on our behalf and that of our heirs, do hereby release the City of
Harrisburg and its officials, employees, sponsors, and its agents for any and all claims, liabilities and/or damages
on account of any personal injury or property damage which may occur from any cause before, during or after
the Parade.
