 Our Safeguarding Principles:

We believe that:

● Children and young people should never experience abuse of any kind.

● We have a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and young people, to keep them safe, and to practice in a way that protects them.

We recognise that:

● The welfare of the child is paramount.

● All children, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation have a right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse.

● Some children are additionally vulnerable because of the impact of previous experiences, their level of dependency, communication needs or other issues.

● Working in partnership with children, young people, their parents, carers and other agencies is essential in promoting young people’s welfare.

Disclosure of Criminal and Child Protection Matters and Disclosure and Barring Service Checks

Stomping Grounds is obliged by law to operate a checking procedure for employees who have access to children and young people.

Please confirm whether you have ever been the subject of any child protection concern either in your work or personal life, or been the subject of, or involved in, any disciplinary action, including any which are expired.

*
Required

If yes please provide full details:

It is an offence to knowingly apply for, offer to do, accept, or do any work in a regulated position if you have been disqualified from working with children. Any offer of employment will be subject to checks being carried out to ensure that you are not subject to a prohibition order or an interim prohibition order.

In the event of a successful application, an offer may be made to you which is conditional upon receipt of satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Checks (“DBS Checks”) in relation to criminal and child protection matters. Please note that a conviction will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining employment.

Before volunteering at Stomping Grounds, an Enhanced DBS certificate is required.  We can only use a DBS certificate issued by another organisation if is registered on the DBS Update Service and renewed every year.  Do you have an Enhanced DBS certificate registered to the Update Service?

*
Required

If no, Stomping Grounds will need to apply for a Volunteer Enhanced DBS certificate on your behalf, at a cost to the applicant of the £12 admin fee.  This certificate belongs to the applicant, not Stomping Grounds, so the applicant can then choose to sign up to the DBS Update Service (free for volunteers) and renew it every year, which enables other organisations to use the information on the DBS certificate, rather than having to re-apply for each new organisation.

Do you agree to pay the £12.00 admin fee up front to Stomping Grounds by Bank Transfer or Paypal?
