evenings at the Mill at the Wassaic Project (tentatively 5:30-6:30, with voting during registration below)
This class is co-taught by the program director, Abby, and by bilingual EPIC high school students. We read stories aloud, play games, look at verb conjugations, learn how to spell and read, all while working in a fun atmosphere that prioritizes inter-personal connections and the meaning of the culture in the language.
Suggested donation is $75 for community members, $100 for those with institutional support; but please give whatever is feasible for you. 100% of donations go to supporting EPIC.
EPIC (Engaging People in Change) is a group of high school students from Pine Plains, Webutuck, Millbrook, and Dover who meet weekly to learn skills and change the world. First come first served, space is limited. Checks can be made out to Grace Church with the memo SPANISH CLASS, and mailed to EPIC c/o Grace Church PO Box 366 Millbrook NY 12545. Thank you!
“We believe that you can be a change to the community’s perspective towards our culture.”-Jackie, Dover, 12th grade
