Spiralation - Tech Start-up Support Program - Application Form 2018
The “Spiralation” initiative focuses on supporting new technology ventures. Budding Entrepreneurs with a vision of launching their ‘Technology Startup’ and seeking assistance to foster their ICT business ideas are targeted.

A subsidy of 75% of the total project cost or up to a maximum of LKR 1,000,000.00 available for tech start-ups with new innovative ideas/concepts. In addition, selected applicants will receive other benefits including mentoring, capacity development training, global and local exposure, etc.

New start-ups (registered or looking to register) and registered companies which are less than 2 years (calculated as of application date) in existence are eligible to apply. The proposed company should have a minimum of two directors/promoters and should be limited to ten employees.



All sections of the application must be filled. Please read the guidelines below carefully before filling the application form. Proposals not as per format GIVEN BELOW or instructions shall be liable for rejection. Submitting an application via this form does not necessarily confirm acceptance of a project for evaluation. Selection will be based on this proposal and the evaluation interviews conducted.


> All information provided in the application should be accurate. In case any misrepresentation or wrong information is provided, the proposal shall be liable for rejection.

> All applications should be submitted in English. The language must be simple, clear and to the point.

> Handwritten proposals will not be accepted.

> All applications should be submitted through this form. Applications submitted in any other method will not be accepted.

> Selections will be based on a 3 stage evaluation process as follows.
>> Stage 1 - Application shortlisting
>> Stage 2 - Business pitching
>> Stage 3 - Technical pitching

After a detailed evaluation of the proposal, the proposals with the highest scores in pre-determined criteria will be awarded the grant.

> The decision of award by the ICTA Awards Board will be treated as final.

> After award, all selected applicants will require to carry out an incorporation of their company. A confirmation of work which details a full project plan (including Gantt chart of implementation activities and post-implementation monitoring and evaluation) has to be submitted to ICTA. The reimbursements will be disbursed according to agreed project milestones extracted from this project plan.
