School Group/Field Trip (Private Garden Tour Request Form)
Thank you for your interest in touring the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix!

This form is to be used by school groups requesting a private tour from the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix. The information will be used to personalize the Garden experience and tailor presentations to be more relevant to the recipients. Please note that the submission of the request form does not guarantee a private tour. You will be contacted by the Cultural Programs and Events Coordinator to confirm and finalize the details of your request.

Fee: $7.00 per student, chaperone, and teachers attending.
Tour Policies
- Please submit a request at least one month before the requested tour date.

- Docent-led tours are available by reservation only during our Garden's regular season (October - May), Tuesday through Friday from 10 am until 3 pm.

- If your group is larger than 15 people, it will be necessary to separate the large group into smaller sub-groups. Please designate groups/chaperones before your arrival to the garden.

-The maximum number of guests on any tour is 60.

- For student groups, we require 1 chaperone for every 15 students (students grade 2+). For student groups of K-1st grade, we require one chaperone for every 10 students.

- Tours are subject to docent and availability.

- Payment for a private/school tour is due within 30 days of tour confirmation.

- Please be aware no outside food or drinks are allowed into the Garden. Water is OK but must be enclosed, i.e., in a water bottle. If guests have sacked lunches or beverages, we ask that they keep it in the busses or personal vehicles. Margaret T. Hance Park is right next door (on the north side) to the Japanese Friendship Garden. Please contact Kristian Riess, City of Phoenix Margaret T. Cancellation Policy
To reschedule or cancel your tour, please call our office at 602-274-8700, Tuesday - Friday from 10 am - 4 pm. Tour groups may request to change (including updating group guest count) or cancel their tour date up to 48 hours before the tour (docent availability not guaranteed). Please note that there is a one-time reschedule policy — groups who do not show up to the tour without notification must forfeit their payment and reservation. No refunds are issued for guests that did not show up at the time of the tour, i.e., without 48-hour prior notification. Any extra group guests who show up at the time of the tour must pay with cash or credit card at the Garden's admission window.
I have read the Cancellation Policy listed above. It is my responsibility to abide by the Japanese Friendship Garden's Cancellation Policy once my tour has been approved/confirmed. *
