Infrastructure Tracker: Add A New Project

PeopleForBikes helps advocates and other supporters create safer and more connected places to bike for people of all ages and abilities across the U.S. We do so by tracking priority bike projects that are planned or proposed to demonstrate demand, measure progress, and connect supporters to the local advocacy groups working to get these projects funded and built. Our National Bike Project Tracker includes recreational and transportation projects such as paved and unpaved off-road trails or paths, protected bike lanes or side paths, neighborhood greenways/bike boulevards, and bike parks.

You can view our existing list of projects in a table or on a map. If you’d like to update an existing project, please fill out the project update form.

We gladly welcome additions to our tracker. At this time, PeopleForBikes is only accepting requests for projects within the United States. We generally include a project if it meets the following criteria:

  • It is realistic, as evidenced by its inclusion in an official city, county, or state plan or other respected formal proposal by an advocacy group with standing in the community.
  • It is likely or possible that the project will be fully funded by 2030.

  • If it is an on-road or road-adjacent project, it is a facility that will be safe and comfortable for people of all ages and abilities. You can check whether the design is appropriate for conditions based on the chart on page 4 of this document from NACTO.

If your project meets this criteria, please enter the information below.
