a. If all answers to #1-3 are yes: Authors will be sent an email with permission to continue in the review cycle and submit a full draft of proposed policy brief by the prescribed deadline. If more than 12 intent to write submissions are received which meet these criteria, the 12 with the greatest number of “yes” selections received in the review in Sections 3 and 6 will advance.

b. If the answer to question 2 is no: Authors will be sent an email stating that the topic is not acceptable for a policy brief and cannot continue in the proposed policy brief process.

c. If the answer to either question 1 or 3 is no or somewhat: Authors will be sent an email outlining the committee’s concern(s) and requesting an explanation for more information. The committee will review the intent to write again upon resubmission by the prescribed deadline.
