Dear Community Members,

The Coogee Lanterns Winter Solstice project is a community-based arts initiative that offers an opportunity for the local community to learn creative skills through facilitated workshops on paper lantern making. We aim to provide a space where residents and local artists can come together, share and develop new creative skills, and produce their own unique paper lanterns.​ Randwick Council is supporting the event with a small grant which will cover materials and location. 

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with various aspects of the project, including:

* Supporting lantern-making workshops at Randwick
No prior experience is necessary- just a willingness to contribute and be part of this vibrant community event.  

* Assisting with event photography and videography (workshops and parade)
* Fire acrobat (parade 21st June 2025 at Coogee Beach)
* Drummers (parade 21st June 2025 at Coogee Beach)
