In 2010, the SSTAGE Board of Directors established the Lynn LeLoup Pennington Scholarship to recognize outstanding educators (SST Chairperson, teacher, administrator, support staff…) who both embody Lynn’s beliefs and dedication to student success and exhibit outstanding educational practices in RTI and SST.  At the SSTAGE Board’s discretion, the annual winner(s) shall receive a registration scholarship to attend an SSTAGE conference or workshop.

Each year an active SSTAGE member, Georgia school or system may nominate an educator for the Lynn LeLoup Pennington Scholarship who exhibits these qualities:

-Is a self-starter who collaborates well with others and has developed a strong peer support network.
-Demonstrates the highest levels of integrity and professional standards of conduct by building partnerships which are guided by respect for others.
-The SSTAGE Membership Chair(s) and the Membership Committee will oversee this process, review applications, and present candidates to the board for final determination of recipient(s) with up to 3 recipients yearly. At the SSTAGE Board’s discretion, the annual winner(s) shall receive a registration scholarship to attend an SSTAGE conference or workshop.

*Recipients are encouraged to become involved in SSTAGE to share their successes within their school, system and with other SSTAGE members to foster continued learning. Recipients may be asked to present on a specific topic or case example where they have made an impact.

Nominations may be submitted by SSTAGE or non-SSTAGE members. Nominations may be made by an individual or group (teacher, principal, board member, parent, organization) as long as the nomination originates within the school system.
