WHO THIS CIRCLE IS FOR

* Owner/managers of small and medium-sized farms with at least one year experience managing employees.

WHY THIS CIRCLE EXISTS

Connecticut farms are often far flung and in rural areas, so it can be hard to find many candidates and for those candidates to find appropriate housing. Given the climate a lot of us have much less work in the winter which makes employee retention a challenge. Also, most of us did not get into farming to take on a managerial role and it's often hard to balance those responsibilities with everything else.

JOIN US:

* This Farmer Circle is a place for farmers to share experiences, support each other, and help each other create effective systems and the right environment to attract, manage, and maintain a crew. Let's  reflect on ourselves and really ask ourselves how we can be better managers.
