Welcome to the application form for the Division 15 Race and Diversity Committee small group discussions on building an anti-colonial educational psychology. We are excited to have you apply and join us in these important conversations.

We welcome participants with all levels of previous experience or knowledge in anti-colonial perspectives, race, and diversity. Participants will be divided into two groups of 6-8. You will meet with your small group for two 2-hour sessions and then both groups will meet together for the final 2-hour session. Each session will be online have a few readings beforehand as a foundation for discussion. All participants will be invited to share their experiences and insights at a Division 15 panel at APA in August. Whether the APA session is virtual or in-person is to be determined.

Expectations for participation:

  • Participants will make every effort to attend all three sessions, which will be scheduled at times convenient to the group throughout spring/summer 2023
  • Participants will approach the sessions with an open mind and an attitude toward learning

  • Participants will agree to and abide by the guidelines for discussion and confidentiality that the group develops
