We love fire at Blazing Swan. We love seeing beautiful fire art in all its forms. This process is in place to ensure we do it safe and we do it right, so we can continue to burn for many years to come.

Use this form to apply for a Burn Permit for:

Candles
Tiki Torches
Gas Cookers (LPG, butane or propane) – only if modified from off-the-shelf or home made
Barbeques (LPG and coal) – only if modified from off-the-shelf or home made
Fire Performances - this includes fire spinning, workshops or performing of any kind
Liquid Fuel Flame Effects (Unpressurised)
Mutant Vehicle Flame Effects
Pyrotechnics

The applicant must be the Responsible Person for the fire. This means they are the one in charge of creating, maintaining and ensuring the safety aspects of the fire.

If you are seeking a Burn Permit for a Burn Barrel please use the Burn Barrel Application Form.

If you are seeking a Burn Permit for an Art Installation Fire you need to do this as part of your Art Installation Application.

Standard, off-the-shelf, Gas Cookers, Barbeques and Gas Outdoor Heaters, which will be used on-site in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, do not require a Burn Permit.

Upon submission of your form, you will be contacted via email by the Blazing Swan Fire Lead. You may be asked to provide more details about your application or submit photos or diagrams (if applicable). The more information you give us and the more details we have, the easier it is for us to assess your application and get it through the approval process.

Submitting this form does not mean a Burn Permit will be granted for any or all of your fires.

Additionally, any Burn Permit which has been granted can be revoked at any time if there are any safety concerns. This can happen before the Blazing Swan event or during the course of event.

If you have not had any communication from the Fire Lead within 7 days of submitting this form, please email fire@blazingswan.com.au to follow up your application.
